If you're here, it means you're serious about supporting your team and open to new ways of setting them up for success.
Or perhaps you're looking for fun team-building activities. Or maybe both.
PowerProv workshops deliver serious business skills using behavioural science and proven program design.
No one is ever asked to perform, entertain, make people laugh, or be put in the spotlight. Instead, we use paired and group exercises to foster an ensemble framework.
This is the secret sauce that helps everyone we work with learn to react, adapt, and communicate so they can achieve their collective goals efficiently and effectively.
The tools we teach will help you stay focused and stay present, learn to read non-visual communication cues with ease, get clear on what you need to say and say it without filtering, commit to a situation, and be a better listener.
We teach serious skills using a proven program design that will give you techniques you can put to use in your work immediately — in a fun environment where everyone feels relaxed, safe, and comfortable.
What kind of corporate training does PowerProv offer?
We offer corporate training tailored to each business. Before workshops, we work with you to define focus areas, sensitivities, and no-go zones. Sessions provide real-world skills employees can apply immediately while creating a unique, rewarding, and comfortable experience for participants.
Do you have improv classes for individuals?
Yes! We run a 6-week improv class for individuals who want to win at work — and in life. See powerprov.com.au/classes for details.
How much do PowerProv workshops cost?
Investment depends on group size, number of Facilitators required, venue, session length, and level of customisation. Visit our workshops page for an overview, or book a call to discuss your specific needs and budget.
How do I convince my boss to invest in PowerProv?
Send them our free ebook — it makes the case better than we can. Or have them give us a call at powerprov.com.au/call and we'll answer their questions directly.
What is covered in a typical PowerProv workshop?
Sessions are tailor-made to suit your group. The tools and exercises we use are selected based on your team composition and goals — whether that's fostering creativity and innovation, improving cohesion, or giving staff tools to think on their feet in the field.
What does a sample workshop agenda look like?
Our workshops are tailored to each client's specific needs. Get in touch at powerprov.com.au/contact and tell us what you are hoping for — we will share an appropriate sample agenda.
Where are PowerProv workshops held?
Your call. Our Facilitators typically come to your office, but we have run workshops at retreats, conference centres, hotels, pubs, and even a Bowlo. On-site workshops help anchor learnings to the workplace; off-site sessions are great for removing distractions and creating a fully focused experience. Around 3/4 of our clients opt for on-site.
How long is a PowerProv workshop?
We run three formats: a six-hour full-day session, a three-to-four-hour half-day session, and a one-hour Super Session. The half-day workshop is what most clients start with and delivers great value. Sign up for a free demo workshop at powerprov.com.au/demo.
How many people can attend a PowerProv workshop?
We can accommodate almost any size group. A ratio of 12-18 people per Facilitator is ideal and allows everyone to receive individual attention. The minimum is 8 people. The largest session we have run was for 400.
How often should you run workshops?
It depends on your goals. For some clients once a year is enough. Businesses with large graduate cohorts might have us in every quarter. For others, a monthly tune-up works well. Some start-ups run a series of weekly sprints. We can help you figure out the right cadence.
Who are your Facilitators?
Our Facilitators have the highest pedigree and go through a rigorous in-house training program. They all bring real-world business experience and practice what they preach. They are not theatre students or comedians pretending to be business people. Business is in our DNA.
Who is improv for business training good for?
Short answer: everyone. From CEOs to marketing teams, old-timers and new starters to suppliers and sometimes even customers — our workshops work best when everyone gets into the activities and collaborates as a group.
Are improv classes good for salespeople?
Absolutely. Some very famous, super-successful salespeople say it is the most important skill you can learn. Our sales courses are consistently voted #1. See powerprov.com.au/sales-courses-techniques-strategies for more.
How does PowerProv differ from a comedy school or improv theatre?
It takes more than giggles and games to foster an ensemble framework and develop an improvisational mindset. PowerProv workshops leverage behavioural science, procedural knowledge, and contextualised exercises. If you are just looking for a laugh, we recommend Laugh Masters Academy. If you are ready to invest in meaningful improvement in communication, collaboration, and camaraderie, PowerProv is #1.
What if I am just looking for a laugh?
If you want something fun, cheap, and cheerful without the business and behavioural science, we recommend Laugh Masters Academy at laugh-masters.com.au. They run great improv comedy workshops and there is nobody better in Australia.
Who is behind PowerProv?
PowerProv was founded in 2012 by Eran Thomson (eranthomson.com). It launched in Sydney as LMA Professional Development and rebranded as PowerProv in June 2020. We have worked with hundreds of businesses and helped thousands of people thrive. Learn more at powerprov.com.au/about-powerprov.
Is this different from an improv comedy class?
Yes. Unlike comedy school classes where the focus is on performing and being funny, PowerProv workshops are led by business leaders and founders with relatable work experience. We frame our exercises around your specific context and outcomes — and you learn from real pros who practice what they teach.
How can I trust that this training will work?
We have been doing this for over 10 years. The reviews, feedback, and word-of-mouth referrals are what keep us going. We guarantee you and your team will love our workshops — a super fun, super valuable experience that will set everyone up with the soft skills for success. If you have ever wasted money on ineffective team training, that will not happen here.
